So, it happened... "Mommy, when I am bigger, how can I get a baby in my tummy?"... I was not expecting that from a 3 year old... So, what did I do... DUH, I said... "Go ask Daddy..." LOL!
Steve is much more calm than me... and he just put it out there, I was dying!!!

Our California Trip

Our vacation to Disneyland/California Adventures & Newport Beach was so much fun. Macey cannot decide if she liked the theme park or the beach better. Our favorites were: Steve = Space Mountain, Kendra = Tower of Terror, Macey = Matterhorn. We spent 2 twelve hour days at Disneyland and California Adventures and man were we tired. So, of course the 3rd day was just laying on the beach (resting our feet). We took Macey out pretty deep in the ocean with us to jump and ride the waves - She thought it was the best thing in the world and we could not have wiped the smile off her face! Steve buried her in the sand, which was also a big hit of the day for her!

I was so proud of myself because my two biggest fears are; 1) Ferris Wheels 2) Free Falls, and I rode both! I faced my fears and rode the HUGE ferris wheel that has the swinging carts (OH MY, I was in a panic when we got to the top and did not stop swinging back and forth) and then proceeded to ride the Tower of Terror. I would not get back on the ferris wheel again, but did jump right back on the Tower of Terror - IT WAS GREAT!!!

Bring Your Family To Work Day!

Discover hosted a bring your family to work day on Friday. Steve was excited to see if it all looked the same, since he left Discover 6 years ago!!! They had a huge carnival with games, food, etc. I got my shot at the money machine and Macey ended up with $145 to spend on prizes. She got some cool stuff. All that aside, her favorite thing was sitting at my desk pretending to work! She thought the coolest thing was that I had tape at my desk... It's the little things in life!!!

Need Money?

So, Nanny was in town this week... We always love when she comes into town!

As she was leaving, she gave Macey 2 $1 bills so she could buy a treat at the store. I was working from home that day, so I kept Macey home with me. To keep her busy, I gave her some paper, pens, etc. I should have known something was up, since she was quiet for more than 2 minutes!!! Finally, I look over and she had cut the $1 bills into about 100 little pieces each. When I asked her why she had done that, she said, "don't worry mommy, I am making us more money"! WOW, I had never thought of that... If only things were that simple!!!

Macey the Model!

So, a while back I heard something on the radio about "Do you have a cute kid"... Blah, Blah, Blah! After hearing it everday on the way home, I thought to myself, "I think she is pretty stinkin' cute"! So, I called and it was for an audition for the "2009 Arizona Cutest Kids Calendar". So, a few weeks later, there we were at the audition. Man, that sent me back to the good ol' days of me auditioning for stuff! Macey had no idea what to think, but I did keep reminding her that if she did really good, she could earn money and buy that Jeep she keeps asking for!!! (And she better start earning some college money)

So, they called her back and video taped her while interviewing her - She did so good! I waited and waited and finally I got the call... "Out of 219 kids auditioned, your daughter was one of 9 to be chosen"! HOW FUN!!! Not only did she get chosen to be in the calendar, they signed her with a 2 year contract. So, she had her first photo shoot and we just got her head shots back (I need to scan one and post it on here, just have not had time) - They are amazing, she looks adorable, but she looks so grown up :-(

Steve and I talked about this for a long time, whether we should sign her up for this or not. We figured, why not? Worst that can happen is she hates it, so we stop. Otherwise, she could make some money that we can put in an account for her for college... So, we will see how it goes...

Got my wig busted...

Well, the older I get, the more grey I have... I hate it! It is too hard to keep up with the highlights, so I decided to go back to my roots - DARK HAIR... I also cut off a ton of hair, wanted something a little more sassy... I know, I know what you are thinking - Just wait a few weeks and it will be a new color and a new cut... You are probably right (wink)!

255 and counting...

So, two of my best friends and I had lapband last August and the three of us are down a total of 255 pounds! That is 2 skinny people - Pretty sick!!! It has changed our lives, made us so much more healthy and happy.

It is so weird to be able to fit in an airline seat, go on the playground toys with Macey, not be out of breath from walking, etc, etc! We are taking Macey to Disneyland the end of this month and I cannot wait. That was a big thing for me, not knowing if I would fit comfortably. I am going to ride every ride twice this time!!!!
